Another freebie when visiting Richmond is the Hollywood Cemetery. Not real easy to find, but a treasure when you do. We took a hot two mile hike ( uphill all the way) to see the graves of many famous folks including Monroe, Tyler, Davis, Stewart. Despite the heat, it was well worth it.
Chris and I had budgeted a certain amount for our Richmond Trip... Since we had skipped lunch pretty much and were hot and tiored.. we decided room service would fit the bill. Hilton Downtown Richmond did not disappoint!
Chris and I live very frugally. One of the reasons is so we can enjoy special moments and get away for a nice weekend. We usually purchase things on our rewards card and use the rewards for motels, gas and food for the trip.
We had saved up enough for one night at the Hilton in downtown Richmond , along with room services ( we had packed our lunch and breakfast).
We hit up some of the free things to do,and one of those things was the Jefferson Hotel. It was beautiful. Here we are checking it out. While I didn't see Scarlett and Rhett.... we had a good time...and I felt a bit glamorous going down the staircase....
Chris even showed the bathroom... and I may or may not have a pen that says The Jefferson.
