Today started very early again. We got up and drove to Roxboro for business. Although we suffered from morning grump, the ride was beautiful down 158, a very rural area in these parts. The leaves were changing, the corn stalks were drying. the few houses along the way were decorated with pumpkins, haybales and mums. Makes me want to go out and buy some mums or grow my own... next years list
I worked the shoppe while Chris traveled to Burlington... I seated a hard drive all by myself and was so proud... a small accomplishment I know but really Chris does 99% of the techie stuff and I was really glad to be able to do somethings on my own.
Of course there was the normal chit chat with the folks on the other side of the wall.. a door keeps us connected and during down times we have so much fun laughing and talking..
When Chris came back to the shoppe I made a quick run to Walgreens where I picked up 2 Lundt chocolate bars ( the big kind) for .27 cents... total... If you like them on facebook you can print out 2 , 2.00 off coupons . They are on sale at Walgreens for 2.00 each this week making them free plus tax!
Next stop was CVS where I bought a jug of laundry detergent, 4 cans of Progresso soup, a bag of snickers candy, and 3 boxs of antacids for...... .54 cents. This was after coupons and extra care bucks... I then recieved 3.00 in extra care bucks back to use next week...
Not bad for .71 cents OOP
Came home and walked the dog with Chris, I was having my eye muscle twitch thing going on so I kept the walk short, then came home to relax before I started dinner...
Taco Bean Rice Bake
1 lb of cooked and drained ground turkey
1 cup of cooked rice
1 pkg of taco seasoning mix
1 can of black beans
1 can of corn
cook all together... this is really delicious and tastes great on a tortilla too
. I finished the Book of Ephesians for my Read the Bible in a year project
Here we gain sweet comfort in our confession and the seal of eternal life, and we are also reminded that to overcome our physical problems here on earth, we must " put on the full armour of God.
... Awhile back our dear friend Bunky and his wife Louise owned a little snack shop and my favorite thing to get( next to his homemade pecan pie) was an Arnold Palmer... half lemonade, half tea.. of course this is really easy to make at home, but at work look what Country Time came out with!
Spent the evening watching videos on salughtering chickens ( also on next years list), and working on Christmas presents.
The Lord bless you and keep you...and cause his face to shine upon you...
