I love the busyness of fall, so many things to do and explore. We are slowly putting the graden to sleep until spring, and in the mean time figure out what we did right, and what we did wrong with this years garden.
When serious gardening friends, Will and Donna offered field peas and lunch, we jumped at the chance!
We picked several bags of various types of peas and beans. Donna gave the fine points on when to pick a pea..and when not to.
We learned so much ! Different types of planting, various seeds and way to save seeds, how to shell a pea ( crowder peas are easy, red rippers.... not so much...)
We are so blessed to have friends like this, willing to take us novice gardeners under their wing.
We canned several pints and quarts of snaps, peas & peas and snaps... they look wonderful in our new pantry!
Awesome huh? have a fine day... all day long!
