I was chosen to promote Dole Salad's new salad blends so they sent along a party pack to get me started.
I love the idea of being given a cooking challenge and I chose the garlic chicken as the main course
We started off with olices & cheese.
Along with the chicken we had spanish rice, Dole salad blends, green beans To continue the Spanish theme I had found some chili pepper material at a yardsale that worked perfectly!
I also served crusted bread with an olive oil /herb combo to dip in..or roasted garlic still warm in the clove to squeeze on it.
For dessert we had fruit! A PLUOT. This is a cross between a plum and an apricot. I had never eaten one before ( one of my 55 in 55 things to do).
We all agreed they were Ok.. more like a plum then an apricot really

Our next challenge is a weiner roast this Sunday for Christopher's birthday... I am sure the fare will not be as fancy!
