Today was our day off unexpectantly. We were headed to my inlaws were MIL and I would go to Bible Study and Chris and FIL would work on a pocketdoor. This is something we had been looking forward to since Christmas but one or the other had been sick... well, they are still sick... and I am prepared to deliver several cans of Lysol their way so we can see them! Flu bugs and viruses have been rampant this winter...
So, we threw on a pot of beans to simmer seasoned with beef bullion, chili powder, onion, garlic, salt and pepper, made a pan of cornbread , and settled in for a day of feet up.
Chris set his songlist and putter around the internet..
I loaded up another cd of TRUMAN, the book on tape ( or disk) and set about crocheting this sweet little heart, of which I KNOW I will be doing more.
I first saw this @ Attic 24, oh how I love Ms Lucy's things... this heart did not disappoint. She has a link to the heart translated on her blog. I then finished up with one of her flowers..
Darling! I used cranberry bamboo cotton with a C hook and the flowers were #3 cotton and the C hook...
Since I was home today I decided to think about worry.. so much in the news going on, could drive a person insane... so I am going to leave you with this passage... just as a reminder when things seem a bit ugly and overwhelming:
Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Matthew 6:27
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:34
So hide these words in your heart, and have a fine day... all day long!
