Oh My ! July has been such a busy month.
Of course it was so sad for us with Lucas being KIA and the emotions we all had to deal with in our own way. That same weekend as the memorial Josh found out he has orders for Afghanistan and leaves for training in Feb with deployment in May. This is his second as long time readers and family know. He came home with a Purple Heart the first time and I pray he just comes home this time...
We celebrated birthdays!
Our Dil Emily and my FIL Dan
An added bonus was being able to have a quick visit with our neice Shelby.
.. This weel we are smack dab in the middle of Chris' stem cell harvest... He has 5 days of shots ( 2 shots each day) that will make his body produce extra stem cells. These stem cells will leak outside the marrow and be collected on Tuesday in a 6-8 hour harvest. The young girl is a donating to is only 100lbs so a one day harvest should do it! We feel so blessed to be able to do this! If you could say a prayer for Chris that would be helpful... and and needles don't gel really well.
so in the middle of all this the beans , maters, cucumbers, peppers etc have been coming in.,lots of boiling, canning, chopping freezing..
Because there have been so many 100+ days lately and lots of garden work on top of everything else we opt for lots of meals of fresh salsas and torillas or pita chips...
With peaches in season and a wonderful Hispanic produce stand right near our business, I KNEW I had to try this salsa... Its a keeper...just the right blend of sweet/ tart/hot

have sent squares I have put together to give to the bone marrow recipients and also Lucas's family as I found out today that the Grandfather in the family has passed away..
During my devotion this morning I came across this verse... I needed the reminder and gave it a hardy AMEN.
And as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last He will take His stand on the earth. Even after my skin is destroyed, yet from my flesh I shall see God; Job 19:25-26
...have a fine day...all day long!
