..Until yesterday I had never heard of Sarah Palin....if I had she wasn't on my radar screen..... but I took one look at this picture and knew we were kindred spirits.... WHY???? Look at that little pin beside her American flag pin. Do you know what that little pin is? Its a Blue Star Mom pin. Yep, a picture is worth a thousand words. I KNOW her heart. Prayers said for your baby Mrs. Palin, as I know you've prayed for mine.
... Thursday I decided one of my love languages was definitely gifts... because I certainly felt love & happiness and all amount of good things when I feasted on the dinner prepared for me by the Henderson crew. The main course was Pioneer woman's chicken spaghetti which I highly recommend as the number one comfort food of all time ..or if you think you might need comfort...or if you think you need to put comfort in a reserve tank or something... because this stuff is awesome! I had never tried the recipe but printed it out and put it into circulation for suppers in the future. But the Henderson chicks didn't stop there! bread, salad, and the most awesome chocolate/vanilla bundt cake. I asked Chris which one of the lovely ladies made it and he looked at me and said Sarah, Annabeth, Molly,...~sigh~ well that named all of them.... he couldn't remember because all he could talk about was the wonderful work William had done on their new room addition. But I know which ever of the girls baked it, we loved it!..... but wait...there's more... 2 CD's of music that were a balm to my agitated- how=long- is -this -recovery-stuff-last soul..AND a 5 hour gilrie movie Wives and Daughters
..its a Master Piece Theater classic and I can't wait to settle in with it .
Thanks bunches Hendersons!!!!
..and if life just wasn't good enough...look at the goodies Colista sent me from Utah..
..and why yes, that is a most beautiful Bible cover you see there...and a purple polka dot apron..and a chicken tea cozy & a sunbonnet Sue tea towel....
comfort food & pressies.... hmm.. I might have to explore what other parts I can have taken out....
..this weekend we are homebodies, Chris did buy lots of grilling type foods and I might try whipping up a side dish or two if I feel up to it. I am buried in a new book The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory. I love that time period and this book is one of those you just can't put down.... Ok, I did put it down briefly to crochet a bit and watch some recorded shows Chris downloaded.
Pray for the troops...and have a fine day..all day long!!
