As promised, the Valentine Mystery Crochet Along begins today...
To participate you will need red or pink and white yarn.... cotton and acrylic use a g or H hook... threads a 1.65
Here we go!!!! First the disclaimer stuff... I made this pattern at my craft table using graph paper and colored pencils...However, there are probably about a gazillion graphs out there that look similar ...don't sell this actual pattern BUT you may certainly sell items made from the graph....
...Also... If you have questions ASK.... my ego doesn't get damaged and I don't take my hooks and play elsewhere if some of the friends chime in to explain something a different way. AND.. before we begin.... chain 1 turn counts as the first stitch in every row... so you will crochet in the 2nd chain from hook...
NOW ..hooks ready????
with white.....chain 28
Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook and across... chain 1 turn ( 27 sc made)
Row 2-5 : sc across..... chain 1 turn
the next few rows will be posted tomorrow..
Its snowing here today and so we are puttering around in our sockies and I just finished up a pair of fingerless mitts to keep my hands toastie while I crochet the day away, sip hot tea and munch an applesauce muffin or two... I'm digging through my yarn stash to find something nice to make a pair of mitts for Sarah's Valentine pressie... she is 8 and according to her EVERYONE has a pair... I can't let my neice run around with bare hands when everyone in the 8yo world has fingerless mitts....
Christopher had a ball game last night... It was such a good /close game. Christopher scored 14 pts and talked himself out of a called technical.. that was an amazing site to watch!
Not much schooling today... C is headed out the door with an old cookie sheet to take on the hills...
So... polish up your hooks, love a good mystery, appreciate the snow...stay warm... and have a fine day.. all day long!
Lea!

What a fun idea! I saw your post mentioned in Whip Up and promptly scrounged up some hooks and yarns. I'm in! Always fun to start something new - especially when you don't know where it will lead. THANKS!
